Why Singles & Families Love Living in Las Vegas

Vegas might be known as “Sin City,” but it’s actually so much more than that! Whether you’re a single person looking for a fast-paced party life or you prefer family-friendly fun, there’s a lot to love about living in Las Vegas. Here are a few of our favorite Las Vegas destinations:

The Las Vegas Strip

You can’t talk about living in Las Vegas without mentioning the Las Vegas Strip! From touristy destinations like the Fountains of the Bellagio and the Venetian’s Canals, to 24-hour gambling and a non-stop party scene – there’s always something fun to do on the Las Vegas Strip. It is also home to incredible dining experiences, over-the-top pool parties, world-renowned shows, and more!

Downtown Bars

Living in Las Vegas doesn’t always have to be over-the-top. When you want to have a more low-key night, do what many other singles do — skip the Vegas Strip and head downtown instead. Located just 15 minutes from Holiday Royale, Downtown Las Vegas is home to tons of great bars that are always buzzing with activity.

Bar hopping is your best bet, as there are so many incredible options here. One of our favorites is Gold Spike, a “backyard bar” with live music, food trucks, and giant yard games like Jenga, beer pong and shuffleboard. Other great options include Hogs and Heifers (the inspiration behind the movie Coyote Ugly), Common Wealth, D Bar, The Griffin and Atomic Liquors.

Hot Vegas Clubs

If you prefer your over-the-top nightlife, you won’t want to miss out on visiting some of Las Vegas’ hottest night clubs. Drai’s, located on the rooftop of the Cromwell Hotel, has both indoor and outdoor party areas. While most Vegas clubs are focused on bringing in the hottest DJs, Drai’s is designed for the world’s best live musical performances. You’ll also want to visit Omnia Nightclub at Caesar’s Palace, Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay Hotel, Hakkasan at the MGM Grand, Tao at the Venetian, and XS at the Encore Hotel.

Adventuredome Theme Park

While there’s no shortage of adult adventures, living in Las Vegas is also great for families with kids. The Adventuredome Theme Park is one of our favorite kid-friendly Vegas destinations. Located inside the Circus Circus Hotel & Resort, this park features the perfect mix of rides and attractions. You’ll find plenty of rides that appeal to young children, as well as the thrill-seeker in the family.

Town Square Las Vegas

Another benefit of living in Las Vegas is the incredible shopping. From super-upscale luxury stores, to huge outlet centers, there are options for every occasion. Town Square Las Vegas is one of our favorite destinations for shopping, dining and entertainment. The open-air layout is perfect for social distancing, and it’s even pet-friendly! Here you’ll find all the family favorites, from Bath & Body Works and Old Navy, to Texas de Brazil, GameWorks, and more.

DISCOVERY Children’s Museum

Just north of the Las Vegas Strip, Discovery Children’s Museum offers three-stories of engaging and educational exhibits and hands-on activities. This includes arts and crafts, “Water World,” the Discovery lab, climbing structures, “Toddler Town,” and more! Many families with kids say the proximity to this museum is one of the things they love most about living in Las Vegas.
